New Workforce Management Tools From Taleo, HumanConcepts

Insight and OrgPlus address different HR needs, from recruiting and screening to visualizing your organization and creating project teams.Taleo's Business Edition Insight and HumanConcepts' OrgPlus Enterprise for Small and Medium Business both provide dashboard-style tools for common SMB HR tasks.
The former, intended for companies with up to 5,000 employees, adds analytics capabilities to Taleo's suite of management products. The SMB-oriented, cloud-based suite includes Recruit, for finding good job candidates; Perform, for streamlining the performance review process; OnBoard, for making the intake process more efficient; and Comp, for managing total compensation, bonuses, and so on. The Insight product adds an analytics layer to all of that, providing more than 40 pre-configured reports. The intention is to enable managers to assess the success of their company's hiring practices, determine who are the top performers and how likely they are to leave the company, and so on. Managers can view how long it takes to fill vacancies, where the best hires are coming from, and other metrics.
"This is the first time SMBs have had access to such insightful and cost effective analytics," claimed Taleo CEO Michael Gregoire in the announcement. "This solution highlights the power of our open standards-based cloud delivery platform to embed powerful analytics into our solutions." Taleo Insight is available now, with a 30-day free trial available.
Insight joins HumanConcepts' OrgPlus Enterprise for Small and Medium Business in the category of on-demand workforce management solutions. OrgPlus, intended for businesses with fewer than 1,000 employees, is more a way of seeing how an organization fits together and who does what, where. Because it's on demand and browser-based, the org charts it generates are up to date and automatically updated. Information is presented as a tree of cards for each employee, with the information on the cards determined by the access permissions and the nature of the search. Fro example, managers could see salary information for their reports, while an administrator might only see names and roles.
The product also comes with pre-configured views providing important metrics, such as a structural analysis of the extent of managers' influence, or diversity ratios for tracking compliance issues. "HumanConcepts has been working with SMBs for over a decade and addressing their needs is a priority for us," said company president Martin Sacks in the announcement. "We are excited to now offer an on-demand solution that expands the way organizations can use org charts to analyze and plan their workforce." OrgPlus is available now, with pricing determined by company size.
