CA To Acquire Automation Company
The deal for Control-F1 Corp. is part of CA's larger plan to increase focus on enterprise IT management with products that provide unification, self-healing, and cost reduction.
CA has announced the acquisition of Control-F1 Corporation, a privately held automation solutions company.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed Wednesday.
The acquisition is expected to allow CA customers to improve their IT help desks and maximize service levels for end-users. It is part of CA's larger plan to increase focus on enterprise IT management through unification, self-healing and cost reduction. The solutions prevent, detect and repair end-user problems before they disrupt critical IT services.
"By augmenting our industry-leading service management portfolio with Control-F1's automation solutions, CA is helping organizations relieve a significant portion of their daily workloads so they can focus on strategic projects," Jacob Lamm, senior vice president and general manager of CA's Business Service Optimization, said through a prepared statement.
CA has certified that Control-F1's solutions are interoperable with Unicenter Service Desk. The newly acquired healing and self automation products include SupportBridge Live Automation, Self Healing Automation and Self Service automation. The integrated solutions manage planning, deployment, maintenance, disaster recovery and diagnosis and resolution of desktop problems.
