India's The Economic Times reports that Intel's longstanding tag line "Intel Inside" will be dropped next month after 14 years of use, according to unnamed insiders. The company will roll out a new logo and possibly a new advertising campaign."Intel Inside" has long graced Intel logo stickers placed on PCs and laptops, TV advertisements and all other Intel marketing materials. Intel has required PC makers to place the "Intel Inside" moniker on the outside of PC boxes they sell, and also visible on the PCs themselves.
The French Web site X86-secret claims the new logo will look like this, with a simple lowercase "intel" circled by a broken oval, plus the specific Intel technology that happens to be "inside".
