Video: Straight Off The UPS Truck, A New Amazon Kindle 2 Is Unboxed

In this, my first "unboxing" video on <em>InformationWeek</em>, you'll see me unpackage an Amazon Kindle 2 straight off the UPS truck. Amazon had planned to ship the first round of Kindle 2's on Feb. 24. But they shipped a day early and I received my review unit yesterday. Here's a video from carton to Kindle 2.

In this, my first "unboxing" video on InformationWeek, you'll see me unpackage an Amazon Kindle 2 straight off the UPS truck. Amazon had planned to ship the first round of Kindle 2's on Feb. 24. But they shipped a day early and I received my review unit yesterday. Here's a video from carton to Kindle 2.

As stated in the video, I've got the Kindle 2 for about 10 days before I must return it to Amazon. There's probably a waiting list of reviewers waiting to get their hands on it. I'll be following up with a more complete review after I've had a chance to put it to use. Also, I'll be picking my wife's brain for her perspective. She has a voracious appetite for books and was a daily user of the original Kindle until I crushed it's display on the way to NYC where I did another video and a full writeup of the Kindle 2 on the day of it's launch.
