A Look At Google Android Running On Prototype Hardware

Still anxious to see what <a href="http://www.informationweek.com/blog/main/archives/2007/11/will_googles_an.html">Google's Android</a> will actually look like? While we've yet to see any Android-powered phones, Japanese wireless company Willcom has shown a prototype of hardware running Google's mobile OS. Check it out.

Still anxious to see what Google's Android will actually look like? While we've yet to see any Android-powered phones, Japanese wireless company Willcom has shown a prototype of hardware running Google's mobile OS. Check it out.Here is a picture of Android running on the core phone module. Here is a photo of the Android setup initiating a phone call. And here is a pic of the Android carousel menu.

The demo includes a section where the Android device is multitasking -- the device receives a phone call while running Google Maps.

What do you think? We've already seen a glimpse of what Android might look like on an iPod Touch. How long until we see the OS running an entire phone?
