Billing and subscription solution provider Aria has extended its service to PayPal, enabling businesses that accept PayPal to set up recurring payments or subscription plans.Aria Systems enables businesses to bill customers and collect payments through a hosted SaaS model rather than having to build out a billing infrastructure themselves. The new SubscriptionsPlus for PayPal lets SMBs offer subscription plans payable through PayPal or through credit cards.
Using the service, merchants can set up their own product catalogs, adding their own logos and style sheets to Aria templates or customizing their pages further using Aria's API tools. They then set up PayPal's Express Checkout, Payflow Payment Gateway, or Website Payments Pro systems to process payments. They can offer their customers a variety of plans to choose from, and the customers can manage their subscriptions themselves, online. Customers' financial data is handled via Aria's own secure platform -- businesses don't have to worry about payment card security themselves.
Aria handles automate invoicing and notifications, as well as collections tracking and, if necessary, service deactivation. The service also provides reporting functions, so a business can see which products and plans are performing well, track renewals, test alternate plans, and so on.
"Aria SubscriptionsPlus for PayPal represents a major opportunity for merchants to create and automate recurring revenue streams," according to Aria CEO Mike Morini. "Traditional, complex, on-premise billing platforms were out of reach for small and medium-sized businesses, but now Aria SubscriptionsPlus offers the flexibility and simplicity that this market needs."
The system has been rolled out on a pilot basis; it's free for the first six months and $40/month after that. Interested businesses can sign up for the trial here.
