Brief: YouTube Launches Video Upload Service
Members can send video content via E-mail to YouTube, where it's published to their profile. YouTube supports uploads from Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon wireless networks.
YouTube, a popular showcase for amateur video, launched on Wednesday a service that enables members to upload video from mobile phones and other handheld devices.
The service, which is available to registered members, requires a mobile device that can take video and support a multimedia messaging service, an enhanced service that enables a mobile phone user to send messages with graphics and video over the Internet.
YouTube members must first use their PC to create a mobile profile. After that, members can send video content via email to YouTube, where it is published into their profile. YouTube supports uploads from Cingular, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon wireless networks.
