Extranet-software maker Click Commerce Inc. is buying the channel-management assets of ChannelWave Inc. Click Commerce gave ChannelWave $1 million and 226,000 shares of its common stock for the assets.

The deal gives Click Commerce a fuller line of applications and services designed to help customers manage their channel-sales operations, comply with regulations, and participate in collaborative commerce, all over extranets.

Click Commerce is getting the technology, customers, and personnel related to ChannelWave's channel-management and service-automation product lines, as well as related services it offers.

ChannelWave is relinquishing its name as well. It was not known at deadline what the new name will be. ChannelWave will continue to sell its E-commerce back-end services, through which the company handles online transactions.
