'Tis the season when the geeky get jolly. Or the jolly get geeky. In honor of the holiday season, I've put together a list of 10 great geeky presents to put on your list. Whether you are geek looking to add to your dragon's horde or you know a geek you think is hard to shop for, I've found something right for every geek taste.
You'll notice the list is fairly short on licensed products. There are a few reasons for that. First, the obvious geek gear is all about Star Wars this year. We compiled our own Star Wars gift guide, so I went light on the Star Wars picks (but there was one item I couldn't resist including). Second, anyone can go out and buy a replica of the One Ring or a remote control that looks like a Star Trek phaser. Last, I tried to find gifts that would appeal to any geek rather than trying to base the choices on being a fan of any one particular thing.

Take a look at the list. Then tell me which ones of my picks are going to go on your holiday shopping list, and what made it onto your personal wish list this year.
**Elite 100 2016: DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JAN. 18, 2016** There's still time to be a part of the prestigious InformationWeek Elite 100! Submit your company's application by Jan. 18, 2016. You'll find instructions and a submission form here: InformationWeek's Elite 100 2016.
You've heard of 3D printers. The Lixpen relies on the same basic concept, but with a pen. It allows you to doodle in three dimensions as the "ink" hardens in mid-air.
Price: $139.95
For the space-loving geek, there are Planet lollipops that look shockingly like the real thing, you know, if planets were on sticks. Bonus: You get a Pluto pop in the set, so at least in candy, Pluto is still a planet.
Price: $30 for a 10-piece gift pack
Here is a licensed product I couldn't resist. The combination of the iconic Game of Thrones phrase and the ugly Christmas sweater fad make this Winter is Coming sweater a must-have for the holidays. Let it snow, let it snow, let it Jon Snow.
Price: $19.95
As I said, one Star Wars gift was required for this list. See more in our Star Wars gift guide. But if you're celebrating Life Day (watch the old Star Wars Holiday Special if you need a refresher), here is one more great gift to consider. This Lightsaber Rear Wiper Cover will allow your car to use The Force to wipe the rain away on those long journeys through hyperspace.
Price: $19
Lots of geeks like board games, and there is no geekier board game idea in the world than Telsa vs. Edison. True geeks will remember that Tesla and Edison engaged in what is known as the current war between AC and DC. Think of it as the Apple vs. Windows of its time. The war was so brutal that Edison even financed the electric chair to try to show how dangerous AC current was. That's what I call holiday fun!
Price: $74.99
I honestly don't know if Tesla vs. Edison uses dice, but if it does, it should replace the same boring dice most games come with for AKO Dice. AKO dice, which stands for "Another Kind Of Dice" are simply beautiful. For the sake of geeks everywhere, I hope they start making AKO dice in 20-sided forms as well.
Price: $18 for a set of two
For the video game playing tippler in your life, consider these flasks designed to look like old Nintendo cartridges. They currently come in Drunk Hunter, The Legend of Drink, and Drunk Hunt. Personally I would have gone for Mario Shot or Super Jager-Bomber Man. I would have also considered a Sega version so I could have made a Gin & Tonic the Hedgehog.
Price: $19.99 (currently on sale for $9.99, but I don't know for how long)
Never be outgunned again. If your data center breaks out into the occasional Nerf gun battle, this is the final response to any attack. Launch the Nerf Nuke into the enemy cubicle, and it will launch 80 Nerf darts in every direction.
Price: $99.99
I couldn't end the list without geek pet-related ideas. What cat wouldn't be proud to form part of Voltron, Defender of the Universe? And you'll be thrilled with nostalgia when your cat says, "And I'll sleep ... in the head." Even if your cat doesn't like it, you still have this awesome, nearly 6-foot tall Voltron in your house.
Price: $189.99
What could be geekier than a living science experiment? This combination aquarium and garden makes a futuristic symbiotic ecosystem. Your fish leaves behind waste containing nutrients the plants use. The plants then clean the water, leaving the fish nice and happy. Then you get to eat the fresh greens or herbs. It's a shame that the system doesn't work with bigger fish so that you might be able to put the herbs you grow on a fillet of salmon.
Price: $59.99
I hope you found something for yourself or your favorite geek on this list. I tried to hit every brand of geek -- from ones who love space or sci-fi to those who prefer fantasy and gaming. If I missed any, please add your suggestions. Which of these items do you want on your list? What kind of presents are you hoping for? Tell us in the comments.
