Google Inc. may seem infallible in the market, but when it comes to technology, it can screw up like anyone else.

The Mountain View, Calif., search engine giant said that it accidentally deleted its corporate blog Monday night, causing a short-term outage.

"The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d' oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user," the company said.

The company had initially suspected a hack, but learned that the problem came from within.

"Our bad," the company said.

The site was operating normally on Tuesday.
