Go ahead and wear a mask to your bank heist. The Georgia Tech Research Institute is working to electronically identify people by their walk. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, which is funding this effort, sees crime-fighting possibilities. Georgia Tech researcher Jon Geisheimer says the object is to ID someone 500 feet away using radar or machine vision. "Our first goal was to decide if gait [recognition] was even worth working at, and we've determined that it is."
