WIRED News is reporting this morning that a Winamp plugin called ml_ipod enables iPod users to bypass iTunes and manage music files just as they might with any other player.

Apple uses software to prevent its customers from moving music files from the iPod. Is this the end of Apple's grip, or will customers stick with iTunes?
