JP Rangaswami, Managing Director for Strategy & Innovation at BT Design, discusses the cultural challenges of applying 2.0 technologies in the enterprise from an executive perspective.Growing social and intellectual capital in companies is becoming easier thanks to modern technology, international boundaries are becoming less of an issue.Some fascinating thoughts about supply chain thinking being much more important than command and control operated silos...including partners and customers in the processes is possible with collaboration technologies but cultural issues are the main blockers to changing the thought paradigms which perpetuate the old control mechanisms.We met JP and some of his team in Palo Alto after the Ribbit board meeting JP mentions and spent a stimulating evening of conversation with Doc Searls, Martin Geddes, Kevin Marks of Google, Guillaume Lebleu of #OpenMoney, Don Thorson Ribbit's CMO and Mat Taylor.
