Sprint announced "MySpace Mobile", a client application to enable MySpace users to easily manage their sites from any web-enabled Sprint phone. MySpace also unveiled a mobile version of its web site (http://m.myspace.com/). I don't see a whole lot of value in bundled applications, I don't think consumers will pick a phone or a service based on the bundled apps, rather they will demand applications that work on any phone from any service.
Still, there have been a slew of announcements in recent days of products/services that extend social networking to the mobile user. Given the rapidly growing reliance on mobile devices for virtual workers, it's nice to see that we're moving away from the model of the mobile phone as a cost center, and toward approaches that fully integrate mobile devices into social networking services and products.
