According to DigiTimes, the iPhone could sport "Intel Inside" branding. Could this be one of the details about the next-generation iPhone? Here's a look at the Intel, iPhone rumor:

Apple reportedly is considering adopting Intel's Moorestown MID (mobile Internet device) platform processor in a new iPhone, according to OEM sources.

Intel revealed a Moorestown-based MID product with functions similar to Apple's iPhone at the recent Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco. The Moorestown platform is expected to launch in 2009 and Apple is considering developing an iPhone based on it, stated the sources.

The folks at DigiTimes seem to think that if the new iPhone uses the Intel platform, the deal will re-align the MID market, affecting both the notebook and cell phone chip markets.

What do you think? Will the next generation iPhone run on an Intel?
