SIS Technologies, Distribution Center Logistics, and Transport Industries have formed an RFID Deployment Center to comply with shipping into Wal-Mart's RFID Pilot Distribution Centers in northern Texas.

DC Logistics in Hutchins, Texas, will run the RFID Deployment Center, a 150,000-square-foot facility near Dallas that complies with current RFID requirements from Wal-Mart, the U.S. Department of Defense, and others. Additional capabilities include product and pallet tagging, cross-docking, and consolidation services.

The companies say the center is the first full RFID-enabled third-party logistics facility. DC Logistics offers warehouse and transportation management for import and export as well as domestic distribution services that include storage, handling, packaging, inventory planning, RFID tagging, and shipment planning.
