Upcoming Programming Contests
Are you a star programmer? Do you want to demonstrate your technical prowess, celebrate the joy of code creation--or just win a cool prize? Here's a list of current and upcoming programming competitions.
InformationWeek.com isn't affiliated with any of the following contests and doesn't vouch for them (though, we confess, some of us are tempted to enroll in a few).
2002 Sun Microsystems and TopCoder Collegiate Challenge, April 19-20, but with weekly contests as well
Google Programming Contest, entries accepted until April 30
Internet Problem Solving Contest, May 10
American Computer Science League, high school programming competition finals, May 24
MacHack 17, June 20-22
CPL Summer Championship Event, July 20-24
The International Obfuscated C Code Contest is closed, but it has a long and illustrious (not to mention entertaining) history
...and if that isn't enough, you'll find more at http://directory.google.com/Top/Computers/Programming/Contests/
