This juicy post by TechWeb’s David Berlind has Zoho boss Sridhar Vembu claiming Salesforce.com tried to strong-arm him into dropping his CRM product in order to be part of AppExchange:

Here are a couple stories about two of the more prominent blogging platforms in use today. The first is a product release update from WordPress but the story on Six Apart touches on the future role of blogs as people spend more and more time on social networks and micro-blogging (Twitter) platforms. This is an issue I’ve been thinking about lately and one that needs further exploration in a future post:

WordPress 2.7 Beta 1 Released: A beta version the latest WordPress code was made available this past weekend with the final 2.7 release planned for later this month: “WordPress 2.7 Simplifies Administration, Content Creation - Content Management Blog - InformationWeek”

Six Apart plans for integration with Social Network sites, sees Movable Type as low-cost Content Management System: “Six Apart CEO Aims To Disrupt Social Networks - Digital Life Blog - InformationWeek

Lastly, here’s an interesting/humorous study I came across on TechCrunch. In short, the study finds that the more connections you have on LinkedIn, the more likely you are to be earning a higher salary. Just checked my LinkedIn account and I have 152 contacts there. Time to ask the boss for a raise? Study: LinkedIn Users Rich (But Still Annoying)
