The $8.8 billion division of Honeywell International will deploy Business Objects' data integration, query and analysis, and dashboard tools across several of its business units over the coming one to two years. "We have a diverse community of Business Objects users, including executives, managers and specialists in engineering and manufacturing," CIO and VP for Honeywell Aerospace Electronics Systems Dave Smoley said in a statement.
Honeywell Aerospace ultimately plans to standardize its business intelligence environment on the Business Objects technologies. The company currently has several BI technology installations in place from multiple vendors.
Honeywell Aerospace provides avionics, engines and systems products and related services to aircraft manufacturers, airlines, military customers and airports.
