Hummingbird Ltd., a maker of enterprise content management software, launched on Monday integration tools for Microsoft SharePoint.

EDocs for SharePoint provides “seamless access and interaction” with content managed by Hummingbird Enterprise through Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003. EDocs also will integrate with SharePoint server 2007 when it is launched, officials with the Canadian company said.

The latest integration tools exposes the functionality of Hummingbird’s ECM system within SharePoint environments, providing a central point of access to documents, folders and workspaces. In addition, the integration exposes Hummingbird’s full-text search capabilities.

Hummingbird is demonstrating SharePoint integration this week at the International Legal Technology Association conference in Orlando, Fla.
