Metastorm Connects BPM Software To Latest SAP ERP
ProVision Connect offers an efficient and cost-effective way to start a process-modeling project while upgrading to SAP ERP 6.0, the latest version of SAP enterprise resource planning system.
Metastorm has introduced software that enables IT architects and business analysts to chart the relationships between business process models and SAPERP 6.0, the latest version of SAP enterprise resource planning system.
Metastorm ProVision Connect is targeted at companies upgrading to the latest SAP software. ProVision offers an efficient and cost-effective way to start a process-modeling project during the upgrade, according to the vendor.
"Our goal with Metastorm ProVision Connect for SAP is to ensure that our customers are able to achieve broad visibility into how to optimize the use of their existing assets to design and deploy more effective and efficient processes on SAP, while at the same time accelerating development, minimizing cost, and providing an effective feedback loop to analyze results," Greg Carter, chief technology officer and executive VP of product development forMetastorm, said in a statement.
Major features of the Metastorm product include a business-friendly modeling tool that helps organizations understand the broader relationships and impact of SAP components to people, broader processes and other systems,Metastorm said.
In addition, ProVision helps in implementing ERP 6.0 in a manner that considers and complies with legal and regulatory requirements. The new software provides simulation and process analysis for testing process designs to avoid costly changes later.
Other features include the ability to reuse and collaborate around process knowledge and documentation. Users can deploy processes and associated updates to SAP Solution Manager for execution, and bring SAP processes and related components back toProVision for ongoing analysis and refinement.
ProVision Connect for SAP ERP 6.0 was released last week. Pricing was not disclosed.
