MRG Document Technologies (MRG), a provider of document preparation services for the financial industry, has announced an alliance with Pittsburgh-based Haley Systems Inc. and St. Paul, Minn.-based Artemis Alliance Inc.

Haley Systems, a provider of business rules management systems, is integrating its business rules technology into MRG's new proprietary software platform, which is currently in development. Artemis Alliance, an information technology services firm and a Haley partner, is providing the application design, development and integration services for the platform.

The integration manages business rules (policies, procedures, regulations, logic, etc.) more effectively, while providing greater accessibility and flexibility for both business users and IT staff. MRG's platform is accessed by lenders through Miracle DocPrep, which simplifies the ordering process for loan documents by providing automated data entry, document selection and electronic delivery nationwide.

"Haley's technology provides us with a fast and efficient business rules authoring software and rules engine that further enhances our ability to create and customize loan closing documents quickly," said Terry King, group chairman for MRG. "Haley technology brings a higher level of functionality to each of our products."

"We are pleased to be aligned with MRG to provide them with strong IT development and integration tools," said Hans Witt, president and CEO of Haley Systems. "Not only will Haley's technology let MRG manage the complexity of mortgage lending product configurations and regulatory compliance with speed and accuracy, it gives their legal and IT staff the power to manage clients' customized needs without incurring the time and cost of reprogramming."

"MRG is leveraging an innovative business rules technology that will give them a competitive advantage," said Donna Hentges, CEO of Artemis Alliance. "We are very excited to partner with MRG and Haley on this project."

MRG's customizable document packages fit the needs of each individual lender and support all products including A-paper, sub-prime, option ARM lending programs and HELOCs. Custom correspondent lender programs are also supported throughout the country.
