Revenue, Profits Jump at Informatica

Fourth-quarter revenue grew 13% to $56.7 million, while profits more than doubled from the year-ago quarter.

Data-integration and business-intelligence software vendor Informatica Corp. reported 13% revenue growth to $56.7 million for its fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, up 13% from $50.1 million in the year-ago quarter. The results were fueled by a 10% increase in license revenue to $27.4 million.

Informatica on Thursday reported net income of $4.0 million or 4 cents per share for the quarter, compared with $1.5 million, or 2 cents per share, in the same period one year ago.

For the full year, Informatica reported net income of $8.2 million, or 10 cents per share, on revenue of $206.4 million. That compares with a net loss of $15.6 million, or 20 cents per share, on revenue of $195.4 million in 2002.
