Apple just held WWDC, where the theme of the day was more open relationship with devs. MS could not have missed the positive reaction to that theme. A little "admiration?"

Minor Complaint
I downloaded it yesterday and tried to install it. It says I need some prerequisites like PowerShell and Microsoft .Net 4.0. If regular IE doesn't need those items, why require them for the developer IE? Isn't the idea that some/most of these features will become part of IE 12 and beyond? When incorporated, does that then mean IE12 will require PowerShell and the latest version of .Net?

This is a curious addition to its developer content. They have been steadily building out web development goodies through the years, mostly focusing on cloud development (for Azure of course). IE still doesn't "just work" in a varieity of environments and for a variety of web-based platforms but I applaud the effort. Hopefully they'll soon live up to the quote.
