AppExchange partners will need to add more value
You can bet those 40+ AppExchange partners are going to reassess the value that they offer once this Analytics Cloud becomes a reality. Salesforce won't be able to charge for any new services unless they go well beyond the capabilities already offered in SFDC apps. The trick will be not adding such robust functionality that it will obviate all the third-party tools (and piss off all the third-party vendors) that customers may have invested in.

Re: AppExchange partners will need to add more value
Excellent point, Doug, re the partner products and services. Benioff may also have wanted to pre-empt some rival announcements.

The revise changes the name of the "Analytics Cloud" keynote to "Project Wave" keynote.

Hmmm. was the first image a red herring or is Project Wave simply a code name for an analytics cloud? We'll soon find out.
