Teradata stands by Aster yet again
Teradata sure has stood by the Aster database. I thought having Teradata, plus Aster, plus Hadoop would be an awful lot of infrastructure to expect customers to keep running. But Teradata keeps investing in Aster as a sort of Spark-like analysis platform. Being a "discovery platform," as Teradata describes Aster, it's sort of pitched as something like the Qlik or Tableau of data warehousing.

These app templates will undoubtedly also serve as a ideas for other vendors and for practitioners to come up with home-grown apps.

Thank you.
