Re: The concept
Stacey,

Good points!

I am amazed that someone would even Suggest wearing a Seatbelt on a Motorcycle today!

Helmets -Yes ,Kneepads-Yes,Strong Shoes-Yes but Seatbelts absolutely a No-No!

Re: The concept
Yes, there are some features that may make sense for a car or truck, but would definitely not be a good feature for a motorcycle. I think a safetey belt might even be a bad idea for a motorcycle. Having been on them most of my life, I would hate to have an accident and not be able to get thrown clear of the bike. Being strapped to it in that situation would most certainly be deadly.

Re: The concept
Stacey,

In a way, yes, unless someone comes up with safety belts for motorcycles. The connected, or even autonomous features will be different depending on the type of vehicle.

Re: The concept
Stratus, I agree that it wouldn't be the same to have an automatic breaking system in motorcyles as autonomous cars have. Maybe, the system could be something different, like sending an alert to the rider who then could break? -Susan

Re: The concept
I agree with you. It seems like an automatic braking system on a motorcycle could certainly create some stability issues!
