Allen Systems Group Inc., an enterprise software and services provider, on Tuesday disclosed the acquisition of Cypress Corp., a provider of content-management and output-management software.

Cypress' software includes modules that enable report distribution, output management, document archiving and retrieval, Web-content delivery, document enhancing, and data mining. The products of Cypress will be placed within the ASG Information Management and Operations Management product lines.

Arthur Allen, president and chief executive of ASG, said in a statement that integration of the two companies' portfolios "will provide a comprehensive, end-to-end solution that addresses all information-related pains within the enterprise."

Both ASG and Cypress are privately held. The acquisition has been finalized, but terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
