Firefox 1.5 RC 3, which is can be downloaded in Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X versions from the Mozilla site, follows earlier RC builds released on Nov. 1 (RC1) and Nov. 11 (RC2).
Firefox 1.5 will include a host of new features, including an automatic updater; faster browsing, particularly when using the Back and Forward buttons; and drag-and-drop reordering of tabs.
Mozilla used Friday as a "Community Testing Day," a tradition at the open-source developer where contributors connect via IRC, hammer at the test build, and report any bugs they find.
Only the English version of RC3 is available as of Monday; other language editions are one step behind, at Release Candidate 2 (RC2).
