The Flip was first introduced in the third quarter of 2008 and sold via T-Mobile. While that version was limited to EDGE data, the new 8230 carries EVDO 3G on board. That means speedier mobile Web browsing and access to data services.
Most other aspects of the Flip remain the same. It has the SureType QWERTY keyboard; built-in GPS and support for location-based applications and services; a 2 megapixel camera with video capture; full HTML browsing; media player; an expandable memory card slot supporting cards up to 16GB; and stereo Bluetooth.
It will be available in early May fort $80 after $70 rebate and new agreement.
