C2C Archive One Extends Archive One To IM And RSS

The E-mail archiving and compliance package now supports the archiving, search and retrieval of instant messages and RSS feeds.

C2C, Westboro, MA, said that its Archive One e-mail archiving and compliance software now supports the archiving, search and retrieval of instant messages and RSS feeds.

With the new capability, users can now retain IM and RSS feeds in Archive One's secure data repositories to meet regulatory compliance and internal requirements. The archives may be made accessible only to permitted officers and administrators or may be searched by users for message retrieval, depending on the organization's internal policies and retention requirements.

"Ever tighter regulations are forcing companies to consider retention policies for all communications, including instant messaging, with strict consequences for those who don't comply," says Dave Hunt, C2C's CEO. "RSS feeds are a business-critical influence on decisions in industries such as finance and banking, and we believe Archive One is the first to offer peace-of-mind in secured retention of this medium."

C2C also announced that IMlogic's IM Manager is the first instant messaging management software to integrate with Archive One, adding IM capabilities to the messaging lifecycle management system. IM Manager provides compliance-level logging and conversation reconstruction of all IM on the corporate network, and exports formatted IM conversations to Archive One for indexing and retrieval.
