Digital Certificate Links For PeopleSoft, SAP
Entrust Technologies Ltd. this week will unveil digitalcertificate technology with tight ties to PeopleSoft and SAP
enterprise resource planning applications. The technology is
intended to make it easier for IT administrators to secure
supply-chain and other Internet applications.
Entrust is using application programming interfaces from
PeopleSoft and SAP to reduce the integration work required
to deploy its digital certificates for securing these
vendors' ERP applications. The software also offers single
sign-on so users can have one identity for all their
applications, rather than multiple certificates and
passwords--even in multivendor ERP environments.
The PeopleSoft interface is available now; the SAP interface
will be available next month. Entrust also plans support for
other ERP vendors' applications in the first half of 1999.
Licenses are $159 a user, with volume discounts available.
The SAP and PeopleSoft interfaces are provided at no
additional charge.
