Sprint Intros New Datacom Service-Level Agreements
Sprint yesterday introduced new service-level agreements for all of its data communications offerings, as well as new ATM services.
Sprint is offering 100% availability guarantees, backed by credits, for ATM, frame relay, and IP services running over the carrier's broadband metropolitan-area networks. Sprint also introduced service-level agreements for ATM availability, delay, and data delivery rate.
In addition, Sprint rolled out Managed Network Services for ATM, which includes network planning and design, performance management, network security, and round-the-clock network management. Sprint is offering an ATM proxy agent that provides customers with real-time network-monitoring information, such as whether a circuit is performing below levels set by the network manager.
Sprint announced earlier this month that it will deploy an ATM network to more than 200 cities in 46 countries by the end of this year.
