HP Adds New SMB Laser Printers

HP's latest series of laser printers offer compact designs, power efficiency, and remote printing options.

HP's latest series of laser printers offer compact designs, power efficiency, and remote printing options.HP has announced some new additions to its SMB printer line. All will have HP's new ePrint technology, which lets users print via e-mail from anywhere in the world, as long as they use common file formats. The technology also includes a selection of apps that can be invoked from the touchscreens of the units, to broaden their utility in the absence of an attached PC (none being needed.)

The new units include:

The HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Color Printer, which is touted as the world's smallest color laser printer (at 15.7x15.7x8.8 inches) and one of the world's most energy efficient. It will be out in November with a list price of $229, with ePrint technology available in the Winter.

The HP LaserJet Pro CP1525nw Color Printer is touted as being both compact (15.7x17.8x10 inches) and energy efficient, the latter thanks to its instant-on technology. It will be available in November with a list price of $299, with ePrint technology available in the Winter.

The HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf MFP is a laser with print, scan, copy, and fax functions, with fax lock-out features for security, and instant-on technology to cut power consumption. It is currently available with a list price of $299, with ePrint support available winter 2010.
