@ Susan,

The part about not having to walk or feed them is compelling!!!

Stacey, they might be useful, though. Some people just need the company of the pet without the trouble of having to walk them or feed them, or anything. There are also pets for pets. -Susan

That will certainly be interesting. I don't know if I will be able to contain the sarcasm when it does come about!

Stacey, you just wait until the robot pets reach the market. Then it will be funny to see how pet owners will be divided and a whole new FB set of pictures will start to appear in your newsfeed. :D -Susan

I am sure you are correct. It gets creepy though when they pretend they ARE their pets!

@Susan

That would make it even stranger if they used a cat picture and didn't even have a cat..lol

to make socialization easy
I cant help but think of a new app that flashes for me the last few tweets and the fb updates for a new person that I meet for the first time or after a long time. It will make socialization so much easy for less-social people like me.

Re: Should have used FB instead
It would absolutely be more awkward...then you'd be wondering why they didn't even have their OWN cat for their picture...that would be a little weird... ;)
