InformationWeek's IT Life invites you to join us today at 3:00 PM ET for the debut of our newest feature: IT Life Radio.

Every Wednesday at 3 PM ET, I'll be your host as we interview some of the most interesting people in technology. We'll talk to experts about the topics most relevant to you, from career advice and management help to new technologies and gaming. Everything that is a part of your IT Life is part of our coverage.

In our first episode, we're talking about Millennials in the work place. If you believe the hype, Millennials are whiny, entitled, social media addicts who can't make a decision without including a group of a thousand. And when they do finally decide, they expect a participation trophy for doing so. They are also the largest generation of the workforce so, like it or not, you're going to have to deal with them.

Bill Grady, IBM Brand Strategist, says you should like it. According to IBM's study, "Myths, Exaggerations, and Uncomfortable Truths," Millennials aren't all that different from the rest of us. The study goes into the habits and beliefs of all the generations in the workplace, and we're more alike than we sometimes care to admit.

Grady will help us:

  • Sort fact from fiction about Millennials in the workplace
  • Think about how to integrate them into your workplace
  • Learn how to be a better manager (or co-worker), regardless of generation

Bill Grady is band strategist at IBM corporate headquarters. He is an award-winning designer and inventor, with nine US patents either issued or pending. Grady is currently focused on establishing IBM Watson as an essential worldwide brand. He lives in New York City, where he is an MBA candidate in the class of 2016 at NYU.

We'll have a 30-minute live interview with Grady, and we'll follow that up with a 30-minute live text chat where Bill can answer your questions and help you with your problems.

Join us here today at 3 PM ET to learn how to deal with these darn kids. And if you are one of those darn kids, come over make new friends. You'll never have a better place to represent who you really are.
