Dell Debuts SMB Server Duo

Dell has gone to market with two new SMB servers aimed at high-performance applications. The R300 and T300 PowerEdge one-socket servers run on Intel's quad-core chips and boast 24 GB of memory; single sockets typically offer 8 GB. Other high-availability features are aimed at increasing the servers' uptime and security, including hot-plug hard drives, redundant power supplies and internal lockdown USB.

"Customers want faster performing systems to run their already taxed computer networks at a price that won?t break the bank," said Frank Muehleman, VP and GM of Dell Small and Medium Business, in a statement.

Pricing starts at $1,249 for the R300 rack server and $999 for the T300 tower server.eChannel Line
